Solar radiation in Iran is estimated at about 1800 to 2200 kW h/m 2 per year, which is higher than the global average. An annual average of more than 280 sunny days is reportedly recorded over more than 90% of Iran''s territorial land, which yields a highly significant potential source of energy.

Expert: Iran to soon launch production of solar panels

Tehran, IRNA – Iran will soon launch the production line of a solar panel to generate 1,800 MW of energy per year, an energy expert has told IRNA. Sima Ghaffari said on Saturday that the production of the solar panel will also increase the area covered by such panels to 23,000 hectares per year.
